To Butler County Residents:

Welcome to altafiber’s quarterly update on the Butler County fiber build! As you know, we’ve partnered with Butler County’s leadership on a project that will bring gigabit Internet to approximately 50,000 addresses in the county over the next two years.

I’m committed to keeping you informed on our progress as we move more aggressively into the construction phase of this project, and I’m pleased to share the following updates.

• We are working to finalize the design of our Butler County network. Our engineering team expects to wrap up that work in the coming months.
• Construction of our Central Office in Middletown is complete, and is a critical piece of infrastructure. The Central Office is a hub that will connect our future Butler County customers to altafiber’s network.
• Our fiber build to Butler County is under way – roughly 15,000 addresses so far this year – and we look forward to providing services throughout the county.
• We created special pages to help keep you informed. altafiber's Butler County portal allows you to sign up for updates so that you’ll know when fiber becomes available at your address. The page also includes helpful FAQs. Please visit altafiber.com/butler-county to sign up.
• altafiber’s Construction portal provides a detailed overview of what you can expect once we start building fiber in your neighborhood. Please access the portal by visiting altafiber.com/construction.

Finally, I want to use this opportunity to share other information about altafiber with you. We pride ourselves on not just serving customers, but supporting the communities where we do business. A recent example is our Bell Charitable Foundation, which has committed $1 million to supporting digital equity efforts in our operating territories.
